Arbela, Missouri -Wayne Mattingly - 1929- 2015
Wayne Mattingly the son of Roy Gabriel and Eunice Druzella Clark Mattingly was born in Washington, IN on September 30, 1929 and passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 21, 2015, at the age of 85 in St. Petersburg, FL. He graduated from Epson High School in 1948 and then joined the Navy. He Married Melba “Babe" Gress of Come Back, IN on April 15, 1950 and to this union five children were born, Terry, Gale, Mark, Steven and Angie.
During the next 24 yrs he worked for, Hershial Oberts Farms,Lett's Hatchery, Louis Arvin Farms, Wayne's Mobile Milling and Nolan's Motels & Package stores before purchasing the Catfish Place in 1974 where he resided and worked until his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Roy Joseph Mattingly, Earl Mattingly, John Mattingly and Charles Mattingly, two sisters, Agnus Horsting and Faye Lamb and one great grandson, Jackson James Mattingly.
