Viola M. Heiner

Viola (Bunch) “Vi” Heiner, of Memphis, MO passed away at her home Tuesday Nov 4, 2025. Viola was born in Kirksville, MO on August 27, 1931, being  the youngest of 10 children.

After high school she was united in marriage to Billie W. Young and this union 3 children were born: Gary W. Young, Larry E. Young, and Barbara (Young) Lewis.

In 1960 Viola moved to California to work with her brother in his restaurant. She met and married Jim Walls in California. One daughter, June Walls was born November 19,1965.

In 1998 Viola moved to Memphis, MO where she ran the Oak Ridge Motel until she retired in 2013.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, her daughter, June Walls and son, Larry E. Young.

Surviving relatives include her son: Gary W. Young of Memphis and her daughter: Barbara (Young) Lewis of New Canton, IL along with six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, Nov. 9th at 3:00 P.M. at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Hwy 6 east of Green City, MO.
