Terry Johnston

 Terry Michael Johnston 65, of Memphis Missouri, died December 31, 2024, at his home. 

 He was born September 11, 1959, in Bloomfield, Iowa, the son of Gerald Barr (Jerry) Johnston and Darlene Rae (Koons) Johnston. 

He married Angela (Howlett) Wollam in Kahoka Missouri on January 30, 1993. They were the parents of two daughters: Kirsten (Corvin) Drummond of Memphis Missouri and Kylee Johnston of Washington Missouri. They enjoyed their two grandsons: Aden and Grayson Drummond of the home. 

 Terry was a 1978 graduate of Scotland County R-1 High School; his first job was working for Ewing Brothers Construction. He later worked for Dickey Transport out of Packwood Iowa. 

 He assisted his parents on the farm from a young age. He loved the land and bought his own acreage prior to his marriage. He then began farming for himself and continued to help his family for more than 50 years. 

 He joined the Masonic Lodge in February 1981, he was a Master Mason with 43 years of service. Terry was an active member of MLICA (Missouri Land Improvement Contractors Association); he also served on the MFA Board from 2014-2019.

 Terry is survived by his wife Angela of the home, two daughters, Kirsten & Corvin Drummond of Memphis MO, Kylee Johnston of Washington MO, two grandsons, Aden & Grayson Drummond of Memphis, MO. His aunt Kris & David Segneri, three siblings, Vickie & Rex Ewing of Collinsville OK, Sandra Johnston of Nashville TN, Dr Robert & Kendal Johnston of Lake Saint Louis MO, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. 

 Terry was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal and paternal grandparents, two aunts and a cousin.

 Memorials suggestions: Scotland County Ambulance District and First Responders or to the family. Memorials may be left at the Funeral Home or mailed to the Family: 22001 State Rt AA, Memphis MO 63555.

Funeral services for Terry Johnston, 65, of Memphis will be at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis on Monday morning, 1/6, at 11:00 A.M. with Brother Larry Smith officiating. 

There will be visitation Sunday afternoon,1/5, at Payne's from 12 to 6:00 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 4 to 6 that evening.

Following the visitation we will have a Masonic Service at 6:30 P.M at Payne's with the Masonic Lodge # 16 A.F.& A.M. of Memphis conducting the service and providing his rites.
