Sandra Remley

June 28, 1945 — June 22, 2015

Sandra (Sandi) Kay Remley, 69, of Arbela, MO passed away June 22, 2015, at her home in Arbela. The daughter of Albert and Emma Balfour Barth, she was born June 28, 1945 at Kirksville, MO.

She graduated from Knox County High School in the class of 1963 at Baring, Missouri. She then joined the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era working at the Lackland Airforce Base at Biloxi, MS

After returning home she married Larry Remley and to this union two children were born: Sheila and Lucas. After her divorce she moved to Alaska and managed a Burger King restaurant and Shop and Go there. Later she attended a two year junior college course for business management, bookkeeping and computer courses. She continued to live there from 1992 to 2000 before moving back to this area.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, foster parenting, fishing and going camping. She had a great love for animals and showed it with the care she gave them. She was involved in her children's activities and in the community, including Little League Baseball, Cub Scouts leader, Boy Scouts master and president of the fair board during the centennial celebration.

Preceding her in death were her father and a sister Patricia Reed.

Surviving relatives include her daughter: Sheila Remley of Arbela, MO; her son: Lucas (Stacy) Remley of Memphis, MO; four grandchildren: Logan and Cara Remley of Kirksville, MO along with Ava and Paisley of Memphis, MO, her mother: Emma Smith of Memphis, MO; a sister: Billie (Jimmy) Nytes of Carpio, North Dakota along with nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be remembered and missed by all that knew her.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Hickory Grove Cemetery Association or the Hospice of Northeast Missouri in care of the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, MO 63555.
Chapel Memorial Service
Sunday, July 12, 2015, 3:00 p.m.
Full Military Honors were provided by the V.F.W. Post # 4958 of Memphis and the United Sates Air Force at the conclusion of the service.
