Roberta Ann Dale

Roberta Ann Dale, 82, of Gorin, Missouri, passed away at 4:28 p.m. on November 10, 2015 at her home in Gorin surrounded by loved ones.  She was born January 16, 1933 in Gorin, Missouri the daughter of W. Lloyd and Hallie B. Kraus Huckey.  She married Eldon Leon “Bill” Dale May 19, 1951 in Memphis, Missouri, and to this union seven children were born.

Roberta was a 1951 graduate of Gorin High School.  She worked along with Bill, owning and operating Dale Oil Company, drove the Gorin School Bus for 30 years and worked at Gas & More before retiring in May 2005.  She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, watching any activity they might be in, playing bingo, and car races.  She also enjoyed gardening, her flowers and watching the black angus cows grazing in the pasture behind her house.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Dale, infant daughter Robyn Ann, parents, sister Dixie Lee Huckey, brother Delbert Huckey, sister-in-law Willie Huckey, mother and father-in-law Eva and Chrissie Dale.

Roberta was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by those who survive her:  four sons, Billie Dale and wife Jami  of Quincy, Illinois, Bob Dale and wife Kathy of Gorin, Missouri, Darin Dale of Gorin, Missouri and Penny Holt, Dannie Dale and wife Joan of Knox City, Missouri, twin daughters, Teresa Creek and husband Allen of Memphis, Missouri and Tammie Dale of Gorin, Missouri.  Eleven grandchildren Heather Alvey of Paducah, Kentucky, Brandi Arnold and husband Robert of Gorin, Missouri, Krista Farrow and husband Clint of St. Charles, Missouri, Aaron Dale and wife Anna of Memphis, Missouri, Brandon Dale and wife Tasheina of Arbela, Missouri, Aimee Shultz and husband Collin of Gorin, Missouri, Hannah and Lauren Dale of Knox City, Missouri, Megan, Ashleigh and Kale Creek of Memphis, Missouri  and thirteen great- grandchildren, Cody Davis, Conner, Carson and Kinley Alvey,  Blaise and Madelyn Hinton, MaCayla Dale, Evan Arnold, Vincent, Olivia and Zavier Dale, Brinley and Brantlee Shultz.  Several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

The family has suggested memorials to the Gorin Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison, Memphis, Missouri  63555.

Funeral services wil be Friday, November 13, 2015, at the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, Missouri, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Leon Buford, officiating interment to follow the Gorin Cemetary, Gorin, Missouri. Music was provided by Angela Westhoff and Alisa Kigar. Pallbearers bearers are Aaron Dale, Brandon Dale, Kale Creek, Blaise Hinton, Robert Arnold, Clint Farrow, and Collin Shultz. Honorary bearers were all her grandchildren.
