Pat Wheeler, 86, of Memphis, MO passed away April 8, 2026. Pat was born December 16, 1939 in Willow Springs, MO. She graduated high school in Willow Springs, MO in 1957. She married Leland "Bud" Wheeler on December 24, 1975.
Following her graduation, she worked at Rawlings and the shoe factory both in Willow Springs, MO. Following her move to Memphis, MO in 1984, Pat worked at Mom's Place, The National Garment Factory, as well as the Junction Cafe, (where people bragged about her cooking) all in Memphis, MO.
Pat enjoyed fishing, going to her grandchildren's events, gardening, and watching birds and squirrels. Her favorite squirrel is "Blonde", who ran around the house and stole the bird's food out of the bird feeder. She also enjoyed flowers, embroidery, cooking and plastic canvas crafts. Her favorite color is purple.
Survivors include her brother:Walter (Thelma) Rogers of Willow Springs, MO; 3 children: Wayne (Tammy) Grogan, Donna (Garry) Talbert, and Buddy (Laci) Wheeler all of Memphis. MO. She is also survived by 3 step-children. Also surviving Pat are her grandchildren Lonnie Ray Grogan, Timothy (Torie) Grogan of Cape Girardeau, MO; Anthony (April) Grogan of Willow Springs, MO; Christopher (Jennifer) Talbert of Peculiar, MO; Jarrod (Jessica) Talbert of Harrisburg, MO; Joseph (Anna)Talbert of Memphis, MO; Abbygail (Reann) Droege of Fort Madison, IA; Lily, Brody, and Halley Wheeler of Memphis, MO; and several great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Proceeding her in death are her husband, Bud Wheeler of Memphis, MO; her parents, Elmer and Patricia Rogers of Willow Springs, MO; her sister, Ella "Annagene" Radar and her husband, Bill, of Jefferson City, MO; a sister-in-law Eldred and her husband, Clarence, of El Dorado Springs, MO and a great grandson, Levi Grogan of Willow Springs, MO.
Pallbearers are Jarrod Talbert, Joseph Talbert, Christopher Talbert, Brody Wheeler, Josh Wheeler, and Justin Trowbridge. Honorary pallbearers are Abbygail Droege, Kayden Talbert, Lily Wheeler, Halley Wheeler, Primm Talbert, Breslin Talbert, Owen Talbert, Fletcher Talbert, and Riley Talbert.
Visitation services will be held at the Payne Funeral Chapel on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church, 310 N. Central Street in Willow Springs, MO. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Willow Springs, MO.
Memorials in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery and mailed to or left at the Payne Funeral Chapel at 202 E. Madison St, Memphis, MO 63555.
