Louise Lillian Frederick, 90, of Memphis, MO passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, MO. The daughter of Floyd and Cora (Dunn) Cowell, she was born March 2, 1925 near Hazelville, MO.

Louise graduated from Bible Grove High School in 1943. She married Dean Frederick on May 31, 1944 in Memphis, MO and to this union four children were born.

She and Dean owned and operated a dairy farm in Bible Grove until they retired in 1999 and moved to Memphis. Previously she had worked at Ben Franklin in Memphis, was a school teacher at South Upton School, and also worked at the Burlington Ordinance Plant, Burlington, IA. She was baptized and became a member of Bible Grove Christian Church in 1953, and was a member of the Greensburg Eastern Star Lodge.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, Marion, Leon, and Martin Cowell, and one son-in-law George (Mic) Herring.

She is survived by four children: Eileen (Raymond) Mullikin of Muscatine, IA, Peggy (Harvey) Lancaster of Quincy, IL, Richard (Debbie) Frederick of Memphis, MO, and Kimberly Herring of Sabetha, KS;

Nine grandchildren, Denise (Tim) Fuegen, Danette (Greg) Christensen, Dana (Rob) Solt, Darin (Jenny) Mullikin, Ginger Whittaker, Jill (Rich) Brady, Gina (Brent) Hochgraber, Jennifer (Ken) McMinn, and Jeff (Emily) Frederick; Twenty Five Great-grandchildren: Trayton & Desiree Fuegen, Ashlyn, Ben, Seth, and Anna Christensen, Ryan, Jonathan, Sarah & James Solt, Nathan, Rachel, Ella, and Morgan Mullikin, Dalton Whittaker, Rachel & Lauren Brady, Libby Hochgraber, Kaitlyn, Haylee, and Jace McMinn, Lilly, Addy, and Cammy Frederick. Also, Sister & Brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Memorials suggested by the family are: Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Fund, Scotland Co. Nutrition Site, or Scotland Co. Care Center Activity Fund and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, MO 63555
