James (Jim) Stephen Fischer

James (Jim) Stephen Fischer was born on December 29, 1941, to Joseph and Katherine (Grissom) Fischer. He died Monday morning, on April 20, 2026, at his home in Memphis, Missouri at the age of 84.

Jim was a retired printer and worked many years for John Fabick tractor (Cat dealer) in Fenton, Missouri. In 2006 Jim and Debbie moved to Scotland County.

Survivors are his wife Debbie (Klopfer) Fischer, since June 24, 1995. Daughters Barbara Fischer, Suzanne Jones, Amy (Cesar) Rojas, Joy (Sam) McRoy, Stephanie (Dave) Conner. Step-children, Jody (Annelise), Eric and Andrea Harvey, nine grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. and one Uncle, Stan who is still living at 101.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one infant daughter, one sister-in-law, along with two special Aunts,Tottie and Doris.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the family for their discretion and they may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, Mo 63555.

Pallbearers are Jody Harvey, Jeremy Krall, Alan Hulet, Brendin Harvey, Dennis Bradley, and Matt Fischer.

Honorary Pallbearers are Dan Klopfer, Matthew Keeney II, Eric Harvey, Christopher Keeney, and Bill Holland.

Michelle Krall will be singing 'The Ole Rugged Cross'.
