Harley D. Stone

October 2, 1993 — May 20, 2018

Harley David Stone, 24, of Memphis, MO passed away Sunday morning, May 20, 2018, near Arbela, MO. The son of Micheal and Kathy English Stone, he was born October 2, 1993 at Kirksville, MO.

He grew up in Memphis and attended the Scotland County R-1 Schools graduating in 2012. He went on to further his education attending college at Fayette, MO. Standing 6’4’’and weighing 200+ lbs, he played JV and Varsity Football as a wide receiver while he studied sports management.  From their he moved to Warrensburg, MO where he joined the Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity received a four year degree in safety management before graduating in 2017.  He interned at Manhatten, KS with the McCarthy Internship Construction. Returning back to Memphis he currently was employed with the City of Memphis.

His friends were a big part of his life.  Like “Old School” they were there for each other at all times.  He enjoyed picking on his Mom & Dad in his own way. His other interests included riding his Harley Davidson, playing 500 baseball in his back yard, receiving all honors in sports including, kicking the winning field goal at Salisbury, MO in 2014 and voted #1 kicker, pitched a no hitter against Palmyra, MO and being a big Raider Fan!

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jeyrl and Arlene Stone along with his aunt, Donna Hatfield.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents: Mike and Kathy Stone of Memphis, MO; his grandparents Don and Mary Anna Troutman; his aunt: Becky Mc Cuiston & family, uncles: Ron Stone and special friend Amanda, Delbert English, Dean Troutman and Donovan Troutman & family and Rodney Hatfield along with cousins many friends.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity in care of the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, MO 63555.
Visitation
Wednesday 5/23 at the Methodist Church in Memphis from 10 am until the time of service.
