Garland Waibel, 87, of Memphis, MO passed away Friday morning at his home in Memphis.

The son of Verna Oliver and Sarrah Irene Perry he was born at Novelty, MO on April 8, 1939. He grew up there and graduated from Novelty High School. After graduating Garland joined the Army for two years.

He married Karen Lancaster and to this union two children were born, Sean and Shani. They later got divorced.

He enjoyed riding motorcycle, playing guitar, going dancing, talking on the CB Radio, along with watching and feeding the hummingbirds.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, Richard Waibel, sister, Doris Elaine Murray, infant sister, Kathy Waibel, sister-in-law, Rita Waibel, and brother-in-law Jim Murray.

Survivors include his son, Sean (LaNell) Waibel of Memphis, MO and daughter, Shani (Grant) Bollin of Navoo, IL, his grandchildren; Ti Waibel (Ashlyn Walgren), Cedar Falls, IA, Mitchell (Ashlie) Bollin, Navoo, IL. Devan (Natalie) Bollin, Ft. Madison, IA his great grandchildren Colt, Camille, Cane, and Holden Bollin; Sister Wynona (Brian) Banks of Edina, MO along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Scotland County Nutrition Center and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, MO 63555.
