Arthur R. "Art" Robinson

July 31, 1924 — November 26, 2015

Arthur R. "Art" Robinson died, November 26, 2015, at the age of 91 in Roswell, Georgia.  He was born, July 31, 1924, in Memphis, Missouri to Arthur M. and Cleo (Reed) Robinson.

Arthur enlisted in the US Navy during WW II and served with the 3rd Marine Division as a Corpsman during the battles of Guam and Iwo Jima.  On his discharge, he moved to Chicago, where he married his wife of 64 years, Anna Lee Kight.

Arthur worked in a variety of automotive jobs, culminating in being the parts manager at a Cadillac dealership.  He used his organizational skills in retirement, being in much demand organizing the garages of neighbors in Loveland, Colorado, where he and his wife moved to be close to their two daughters.

Arthur was an expert fisherman, spending many happy days fishing at his Wisconsin cottage.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He is survived by his son Gene (Yvette) Robinson, two daughters, Patti (Tom) Fay and Jeri (Roger) Baker and a granddaughter, Morgan.

His cremains will be interred, December 18, in the Memphis, Cemetery at Memphis, Missouri with military graveside rites being provided by the Wallace W. Gillespie V. F. W. Post # 4958 of Memphis along with two from his division of the military honors program.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Atlanta, Georgia Hospice or Freedom Service Dogs, a charity supplying service veterans with the trained dogs.
